ABOUT QUEENSCOURT HOSPICE
Queenscourt is an independent purpose built hospice providing specialist palliative care for the communities of Southport, Formby and West Lancashire. Over four thousand local people and their families and carers have now been cared for and supported, by our highly skilled and dedicated team of staff and volunteers.

Our wide ranging services are available to all those with serious and life limiting illness, we combine specialist medical and nursing care together with traditional and complimentary therapies within a supportive setting to give individual and holistic care for each patient.

We have a ten-bedded in-patient unit incorporating two four bedded wards and two single bedded rooms all with en-suite facilities. Our Day Therapy Unit is open four days a week with therapies and activities including individual Jacuzzi, physiotherapy, massage, reflexology, meditation, acupuncture, creative arts, crafts and music, hairdressing, manicure and pedicure. Transport is provided, if required, and our lunches and afternoon teas will tempt even the poorest appetites.

The service we provide is completely free of charge to all who need it. It costs in the region of £4500 a day for us to provide the services we do and does not include the large amount of time and skills freely given by our volunteers.

Local people raise the majority of our funds donating and supporting the many fundraising events we organise, without them we would not be able to maintain the high quality of service that our skilled and professional clinical team provide.

With continued help and support like this we are confident that we will be able to ensure that Queenscourt will be open for many more years to come, to care for those people in our community who might have need of its special care.

If you need any further information about Queenscourt please call 01704 544 645 or call into the hospice.
